I felt honoured when Harriet came to me asking if I could rework her Grandmother’s 1940’s silk satin wedding dress, for her wedding day… the dress had huge sentimental value, her grandmother had worn it on her wedding day , then again by Harriet’s mother in the 80’s….
The main change to the dress was the neckline, and bodice… which took many hours of careful unpicking and re-stitching.
